Homeopathic Consultation

Constitutional

Homeopathic consultation for a chronic illness/condition consists of a complete case taking, which includes the patient’s medical history, their current medical condition, and all about their nature (body temperature, energy level, appetite, sleep, personality, etc.). The average consultation takes approximately 1.5 hours. After collecting all the data, the homeopath takes some time to study the case and come up with the one remedy that matches all the symptoms presented by the patient.

Depending on the patient's response to the remedy, the homeopath may repeat or change the remedy. One or more remedies may be needed during the course of treatment.

Homeopathy is as powerful and complex as nature itself! The reason the homeopath spends so much time with each patient and tries to understand them completely, is that he/she must choose the one remedy that match all of the patient’s symptoms. There are thousands of homeopathic remedies with similar symptoms and overlapping symptom pictures. There is no homeopath that finds the correct constitutional remedy every single time. So please, be patient!

Constitutional treatment requires considerable commitment from both the patient and the homeopath, especially when a chronic illness is being treated. Chronic illnesses take a long time to develop and cannot be expected to heal within weeks. Depending on the severity of the illness, and length of time the patient has had the illness, treatment can take from several weeks, to several months, to a few years. The results are best when the patient records the changes they experience during the course of treatment, and subsequently reports them to the homeopath during each meeting.

Acute

Homeopathic consultation for an acute condition (e.g. flu, urinary tract infection, headache, food poisoning, ear infection, colic, fever, sprains, bruises, cuts, etc.) can be done in person or over the telephone. It takes approximately 15 – 20 minutes. The homeopath will ask questions pertaining to the specific condition, and some questions about the person’s general mood, sleep, appetite and so on.
